The catering
The richness of the Ile Blanche reception house lies in its simplicity and friendliness. These ingredients are always served at our table around which are residents, locals, punctual groups. Meals are served daily throughout the year at fixed times, in one of our two dining rooms with 30 and 90 seats respectively. They are open to all and all on reservation at the latest the day before at 16h. Our cooks take into account requests for special diets (on medical prescription or with an extra 2 € per person per meal). The sharing of the dishes offered by our cooks promotes exchanges in a family spirit.
Breakfast between 8:15 and 9:00: self service consisting of hot and cold drinks, bread, jam, spread, honey, compotes, yoghurt, cereals and fruit.
Lunch at 12:15: consisting of starter, main course, cheese salad, dessert and coffee. Drinks (water and red wine) are included.
Dinner at 7pm: composed of a soup, a dish, and a dessert. Drinks (water and red wine) are included.
Depending on your program, and by making the request at the latest the day before at 4pm, lunch can be taken as a picnic that will be available at breakfast time.
At the end of each year, Ile Blanche offers festive meals on 24/12 in the evening, 25/12 noon, 31/12 in the evening and 01/01 noon. These meals are open to all, residents or not, by reservation. The opportunity to share and celebrate in a warm family atmosphere.
Event catering
The house also knows how to meet the diversity of requests and can propose festive meals, snacks and aperitifs if possible.
It is possible to book, for lunch only, meals served « on the plate » and, depending on availability, to privatize a dining room. We offer two types of complete menus with drinks.
More and more appreciated, our formulas of complete and generous buffets, proposed from 15 people, can be served at lunch or in the evening in a dining room or in the dining room of the “”Préau”” which overlooks the Douron. In autonomy, you enjoy a wide choice of cold dishes to share a festive and friendly moment.
Finally for special occasion (wedding, funerals, birthdays…) drops or wines of honor can be organized in the White Island, do not hesitate to contact us to know more about it.
Our terms
Meals are served at set times: breakfast between 8:15 and 9:00, lunch at 12:15, and dinner at 7:00. Out of respect for the staff, please respect meal times. If your meal includes an aperitif, we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the service time.
In case of special diets, when booking a meal, you are required to provide a detailed medical certificate indicating the list of ingredients.
Meal reservations or changes—excluding groups of 9 or more—must be made no later than 4:00 p.m. on weekdays the day before. After this deadline, changes are no longer possible, and any unscheduled meals will be charged.
We do not require a deposit for meal reservations under €100; however, we thank you in advance for the courtesy of notifying us in case of cancellation or rescheduling.
For larger bookings – excluding groups of 9 or more – the reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of a 25% deposit of the quoted amount, with the balance due on the day of the booking.
In the event of cancellation, the deposit will be retained by L’Ile Blanche and may be used for a meal or other service within the next 12 months. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
For group meals (9 people or more), the cancellation deadline depends on the contract value:
> 7 days before the service for contracts with a value less than €1,000
> 1 month before the service for contracts with a value between €1,000 and €3,000
> 2 months before the service for contracts with a value greater than €3,000
In the event of total cancellation before the cancellation deadline, the deposit will be retained by the host house and may be carried over to another stay at the house within the following 12 months.
In the event of partial or total cancellation after the cancellation deadline, beyond 10% of the reservation amount, the deposit corresponding to the canceled value (25%) will be retained and invoiced. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
